PEC

Photocells are the original gate control method. This reliable piece of technology operates on straightforward principles. A Photo Electric Cell (PEC) housed in, for example, in an upright. The PEC emits a beam of infrared light which is reflected back from a reflector housed in an upright directly opposite. When the beam is broken this will trigger the gate to open.

PEC´s are excellent as a definitive trigger point for the gate to open. PEC´s are also included, as an option, inside the lower gate body of the Alphagate, Easygate and Flexigate, to act as a trigger point for a second gate or line of gates. Important to remember when choosing a PEC gate control is the distance between the PEC and the gate. This distance will have an impact on the opening sequence: the longer the distance, the less risk of hitting the gate arm with a trolley. Please contact us for a recommendation.
